In Old Hickory, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Tennessee, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–7 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is mellowandivy.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Came in here for their one year anniversary sale and loved it! If you’re looking for a great plant store go visit. They have the cutest selection, all the plants are very well cared for, and they offer free repotting. View the full reel on IG/FB @Kenna.Claire to see everything they have to offer and go visit in person to see for yourself how cute it is.

This store was walking into an instant happy place. I have never seen plants so well taken care of. Some of the plants were so healthy they looked fake! Christian was working and became your instant plant best friend. He was so kind and knowledgeable. I stopped in by accident and wasn’t expecting to see what I saw. So I definitely will be going back and this will be my new forever plant home. More than just plants, the selection of crystals, books, and gifts was also above average!

Mellow & Ivy is such a great plant and gift shop! I'm a plant mom and I have added to my collection (4 different plants) with plans on getting more! You will find healthy and rare plants in shop. Their knowledgeable staff is more than happy to help give advice on everything from soil, light, watering and they will even repot for you. Along with your plant needs, you'll find fun buttons, magnets, bookmarks, crystals, unique and fun shirts and hand poured candles (made by them as well)! This is an extraordinary shop with amazing energy. Check them out!
